| My family consists of my husband, myself, and four children, 15, 10, 7 and 1 years. We are relocating to BC from Ireland. My husband will be looking for work in the construction industry in project/site management. Where would parents of children recommend we look to settle? We are looking for a quiet neighbourhood that is child-friendly, good neighbours and good schools, we don't mind a bit of a commute to either work or schools if the payoff is magnificent views and a bit of wildlife. However, our eldest is a straight A student and a really good school that will allow for entrance to the best of universities is fairly important. I'm not sure how university entrance works in Canada, but here in ireland not all schools would have a majority of students interested in third level education. Any advice on which areas to consider taking into consideration schooling, as well as work for Dad, would be appreciated. Thank you! |
